With the Summer HS season ready to tip in a few weeks, I"m curious to see or read what teams people think will be nice. Lots of good players and good team out there, with some premier HS tournaments as well. Let's hear it....Anybody want to roll out some top 10's by classification?

Federal Way is going to be good next year...return several kids from last years champ team. McDaniels (6'9) and sure they get a transfer or two....
Woodenville is returning all key players from a team that made final 4 last year. Tony Miller is POY candidate.
Curtis (Tacoma) is returning all players, and a team that finished with 20 wins and a great coach...they will be in Tacoma Dome! Book it!
Kentwood looses some bigs, but seem to always have some talent/athletes...maybe they take a small step back, but will still be solid next year.
Central Valley (Spokane) loose Make Haanan, but return several players from a good team last year. This program always seems to be good...next year they will be tops in their league.
Richland returns Beo and Ratliff...they will be scoring 100+ again next year. See them in Tacoma in March.
Union (Vancouver) loose some big guns to graduation, but seem to always be in the mix.

Garfield is the top team in the state, and maybe by a mile...they return all key players from last years state championship team. Add Jron Brooks (6'7) PF from Seattle Prep and you got a team that could be headed towards NYC Dicks National Tournament.
Rainier Beach will be good too...added Sam Cunliffe from Blanchet and return Kevin Porter and Khalil Shabazz...and would not be surprised if they brought another kid or two! They still have Kieth Smith on roster, but with his health not sure what his plans are next season.
Bellevue loses starting PG and SF/PF both to D1 schools...but return PF Mike Hen and PG/SG Shariff Khan. They will be solid in the "ho-hum" Kingco
Mercer Island brings back best post player, Andrew Pickles (destine for SPU)... they will give Bellevue a good run this year, and will be better.
Lakeside (Seattle) will be same team next year that finished in the top 5 at state last year...they will be better...probably the best private school in Metro league. Isaiah Brown and Dejon Davis are two top player in the league.
Wilson (Tacoma) returns their top scorer, David Jenkins. Also return a few guys from last years team who was pretty good. They will have the athletes and coach will have them playing hard.
Lincoln also returns some good players from a team that was seconds from going to Tacoma Dome last season. They have several good guards and will be in thick again this season.
Peninsula returns on of the top players in the state and perhaps best PG, JaQuori McLaughlin. They also have some size coming back too...they may take a step up this year.
Seattle Prep returns PG and PF (Nettles and Welp). Lost Jron Brooks (transfer) and Kitchen and Stewart (graduation). They have a few JV kids that will help...they are second best private school team in Metro.
Foss returns Roberto Gittens, who is extremely athletic and tough HS player...they loose a lot in graduation but sure they will be solid again this season.
Stanwood loses top scorer and post player...return a lot from last year and league is so-so, they will be fine again this year.
Glacier Peak returns top scorer, Zach Hatch. Kid can shoot it...and well coached team will win WESCO South this year...again.

Great list, nice job. Just had an idea as I read the list....how great would it be if there was a Summer Tournament that had these top teams in it? I know there are some in June that have some of the teams listed above, but think it would be great if they were able to get community support, land a great venue, and coaches could have their own championship. Logo could be WIAA with a red circle around it and line through it! You could also do it in the Winter for that matter! Wow - would be great!
Good luck to all that tip off summer in just over a week. Should be a great 4 weeks of action.

Rainier Beach beat Garfield by two points in the Franklin Slam tourney final on Sunday. Seattle Prep lost to RB, and Garfield beat Union to advance to final.
There was some good games over the 3 days. Teams that played well were Camas, Davis, Cleveland, Timberline.
The surprise of the tourney was Ingraham. Looking much improved from past winter.
Summer is always an interesting time of the hoop year...next up on the summer circuit is the Garfield Bash (June 12, 13, 14).
