Big news about Bellevue football which I'm sure leaves none of us surprised. But who actually thinks football is the only sport at BHS bending the rules? There was a "third party investigation" probing into football apparently. Why not take a peek around the rest of the athletics?
Also, does anyone wish the hammer was a little harder on these things? The message here is clear: bend (break) the rules to help create a dynasty, win many state titles, self-report because WIAA does not have the resources to police their rules, and we'll slap you with probation.
Who wouldn't break the rules for some state titles if this is the punishment you receive when the news that everyone already knew is finally broken?

If we actually wanted to clean up HS athletics, send a message! Strip BHS of their titles, vacate their wins, fire the coach, fire the AD, and fire the Principal. Might make others think twice.
